HVAC Maintenance Technician

About the role

Golden Gloves Technical Services L.L.C. is seeking an experienced and dependable HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our technical services and maintenance team in Dubai.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing and repair of HVAC and air-conditioning systems across residential, commercial and industrial properties.

The role requires strong practical knowledge of air-conditioning equipment, fault diagnosis and maintenance procedures, with the ability to carry out assigned works efficiently, safely and in accordance with company quality standards.

The technician will work closely with supervisors and other technical team members to attend planned preventive maintenance activities, corrective maintenance calls and urgent HVAC service requirements while ensuring proper documentation and professional customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of practical experience as an HVAC / AC Maintenance Technician, preferably within the UAE or GCC.
• Strong hands-on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of air-conditioning and HVAC systems.
• Good knowledge of Split AC, Ducted Split, Package Units, FCU, AHU and related HVAC equipment.
• Ability to diagnose cooling problems, electrical faults, refrigerant issues, airflow problems and mechanical failures.
• Experience in AC servicing, filter cleaning/replacement, coil cleaning, drain line maintenance and general system inspection.
• Knowledge of refrigerant charging, pressure testing, vacuuming and leak detection.
• Ability to troubleshoot compressors, motors, capacitors, contactors, thermostats, control circuits and other HVAC components.
• Familiarity with chilled-water systems and basic BMS controls will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to use manifold gauges, multimeters, clamp meters, vacuum pumps and other HVAC testing instruments safely.
• Experience in planned preventive maintenance and maintenance checklist completion.
• Ability to read basic HVAC drawings, electrical diagrams and equipment specifications.
• Strong understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Ability to identify faults accurately and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Capable of working independently as well as within a maintenance team.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform field-based technical work, including work at heights where required.
• Willingness to attend emergency or after-hours maintenance calls when operationally necessary.
• UAE driving licence will be considered an advantage.
• ITI, Diploma, Trade Certificate or equivalent technical qualification in HVAC / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Mechanical Maintenance is preferred.
